Words states simply, without the lighthearted fanfare that has been very present throughout their entire conversation.
She hesitates to believe him, and perhaps with good reason. She did not exaggerate at all when she said that she knew better than anyone just what her demonic child was capable of. But he thinks he knows her well enough to know that she wants to believe him.
He thinks he knows her well enough to know that she will not stand for killing among those she has sided with.
She says she won’t let them kill him.
He believes her.
